From this effect, the dish acquires a completely new shade of taste, which allows you to once again diversify your menu.

Ingredients:

  • 600 g cauliflower
  • 2 chicken eggs
  • Breadcrumbs (for deboning)
  • Salt, black pepper and herbs to taste
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Step 1: Prepare the cauliflower.

You can cook either fresh or frozen cauliflower. When buying fresh, always choose a head with intact leaves, with strong white inflorescences, and without signs of disease. If you buy frozen, always pay attention to the shelf life; make sure that the inflorescences in the package are separate from each other (if they are frozen together in one lump, it means that the storage conditions were violated and the cabbage was defrosted and then froze again)


So, we divide fresh cabbage into inflorescences and rinse with cold running water.


Put the cabbage in a saucepan, fill it with cold water and put it on the stove, add salt. If you cook frozen, then throw it into boiling water; there is no need to defrost it first.

To prevent the cabbage from turning yellow during cooking, add a teaspoon of lemon juice or a slice of lemon to the water and cook over medium heat without covering the pan with a lid. The water should not boil too much - cauliflower contains a lot of vitamin C, which is quickly destroyed at high temperatures. If you bought ready-made breadcrumbs, just pour it into a deep plate. If you don’t have ready-made breading, then you’ll probably find one or two pieces of stale white bread or a loaf, grate them on a fine grater and you’ll get a wonderful breading.

Take the inflorescences one at a time, first dip them on all sides in liquid breading.

Recipe for cauliflower in breadcrumbs without eggs with photos step by step

I disassembled the cabbage into medium-sized inflorescences.


I boiled water in a saucepan, salted it, threw in the inflorescences and bay leaves, and boiled for 5 minutes.


Then I drained the water. Already at this stage I am ready to eat it entirely :) But I restrained myself, it tastes even better in breadcrumbs.


I poured a spoonful of vegetable oil into the frying pan and added ghee. I waited for it to melt.


I threw in the spices according to the list (you can use any others to your taste).


I added ¼ cup of breadcrumbs (if possible, it’s better to make the breadcrumbs yourself; store-bought ones are so tasteless that the snack itself doesn’t turn out very well either). Breading without eggs, they are not needed at all in this recipe.


I fried everything together, then laid out half of the boiled inflorescences.


Stirred and after 3 minutes turned off the heat. According to the first option, the cabbage is ready.


It turns out a little greasy, but I like it. If desired, you can blot it with a paper towel.


Now option number 2. Sprinkle the remaining half of the boiled inflorescences with spices and breadcrumbs.


Cover the saucepan with a lid and shake well so that both the spices and crackers are distributed.


Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan and add cabbage.
