On September 24, a concert by People's Artist of Russia Dmitry Malikov will take place on the stage in front of the Grand Tsaritsyn Palace, accompanied by video projections on the facade of the palace.

On September 22 and 23 from 19:45 to 20:45 the “Carnival of Light” will be shown again on the Rowing Canal. But the pyrotechnic show will last less - seven minutes.

Show from Japan and 270 degree projection

Also on the Rowing Canal on September 25 from 20:30 to 21:30 the festival will close. The show was prepared by a team from Japan, and it is dedicated to the ending Year of Japan in Russia. In addition to the musical and pyrotechnic part, in which the volleys will be synchronized with music, spectators will be treated to launches large-caliber charges(up to 600 millimeters). The diameter of the opening in the sky of the largest of them will reach almost a kilometer. Each launch will be preceded by a story about Japanese traditions and a video projection.

On all days of the festival from 19:30 to 23:00 on the site "Theater Square" the light row will be projected onto the facades of three theaters - Bolshoi, Maly and RAMT. Three buildings will allow you to create panoramic 270 degree projection. Here they will show an allegorical light novel about Spartak, his struggle for personal freedom and spiritual liberation. You will also be able to see two thematic shows from last year’s festival - "Celestial Mechanics" and "Timeless" as well as the works of the finalists of the international competition "Art Vision" in the “Classic” category.

Portals and forest extravaganza

Every day from 19:30 to 23:00 at the museum-reserve "Tsaritsyno" Two light shows will be shown on the façade of the Grand Palace: the story of the Phoenix bird "Palace of Wanderings" and audiovisual performance about the world of the future. In addition, on September 24, a concert by People's Artist of Russia Dmitry Malikov will take place on the stage in front of the Grand Palace. Museum-reserve "Kolomenskoye" invites everyone to plunge into world of extravaganza. The forest will be filled with mirages, and viewers will not immediately be able to understand what is real and what is not. Fairy-tale masks and mysterious animals will come to life right before their eyes, golden fruits will grow on the trees, the carriage with Cinderella will become a pumpkin, and Ole-Lukoje will call you to the world of dreams.

Workshops and discussions

On September 22 and 23 from 11:00 to 17:00 in the Digital October center the presenters lighting design specialists and video projections will talk about the pitfalls of the organizational process, discuss technical innovations and current trends. The program includes workshops, panel discussions and lectures.

September 22 from 22:00 to 23:30 in the concert hall "World" fans of club music will be welcomed at an international light and music party, during which a competition will take place between VJs from different parts of the world.

The traditional international competition video mapping and VJing "Art Vision". They will compete in three categories - “Classic”, “Modern” and “VJing”. 119 people from 36 countries. About the Festival

The festival was first held in Moscow in 2011, although the idea of ​​holding it first appeared back in 2002, and it belonged to Anton Chukaev, who proposed holding a festival of light by analogy with the French Leon.

The Circle of Light festival is held annually. For five days, Moscow will once again turn into a city of light - lighting designers and specialists in the field of audiovisual art from all over the world will transform the architectural appearance of the capital. Its most famous buildings will feature colorful large-scale video projections, the streets will be illuminated with fabulous installations, and fantastic multimedia shows using light, fire, lasers and fireworks will give an unforgettable experience and vivid emotions.

Admission to the opening ceremony of the Circle of Light, as well as to other performances of the festival, is free. However, you can watch the opening ceremony up close - from specially organized stands. To do this you need to get an invitation card. Strogino

CLOSING CEREMONY OF THE FESTIVAL - PYROTECHNIC SHOW

Spectators can expect a bright 30-minute Japanese pyrotechnic show, which has no analogues in Russia. From four barges installed in the waters of the Stroginsky backwater, hundreds of pyrotechnic charges will be launched, the largest of which, 600 mm caliber, has never been presented in Russia before. Japanese fireworks are unique in their properties and have no analogues in the world. They are superior in color and brightness to other fireworks, and the hand-made process, passed down from time immemorial, makes each projectile a true work art.

Digital October

From year to year, the site remains a constant meeting place for famous professionals in the field of visual art and aspiring light artists. An educational program consisting of lectures, seminars and practical classes helps beginners master the basics and reveals many secrets and subtleties in working with light.

The closing of the festival will be dedicated to the cross year of Japan and Russia. Spectators of the final performance will be surprised by a 40-minute show of Japanese pyrotechnics, known throughout the world for its unique beauty and scale. It will involve large-caliber charges, and the opening diameter of the largest of them will reach almost 1 km in the sky.

Also during the event there will be lectures and master classes by specialists in multimedia technologies and lighting design.
