Taisiya Povaliy was born on December 10, 1965 in the village of Shamraevka, Skvirsky district, Kyiv region, in a family where they always loved and knew how to sing.
Mom, Nina Danilovna, also dreamed of becoming a singer, she had a good voice, but after the war her father did not return from the front, and they had three children in the family. They took turns going to school, and there was no question of going somewhere else to study further. Taisiya’s mother sacrificed her personal life in order for her daughter to achieve success and get a good education. Taisiya's father drank. Sometimes a drunk man would come home, wake him up in the middle of the night and force little Taya to play the piano. Taya tried to persuade her mother to leave her father, and when she was 10 years old, Nina Danilovna finally decided to take this step.
WITH early childhood Taya performed on stage with a children's ensemble. And the very first, real tour of the future Golden Voice of Ukraine took place at the age of six. But she didn’t take the academic degree, she continued to study, because her husband’s parents were already retired, and for them the appearance of their grandson was such a happiness that they took on all the worries about his upbringing and care, and they didn’t need Taisiya. Therefore, she calmly continued her education - she graduated from the conducting and choral department of the Glier Music School and optionally academic vocals. My husband taught Taya that home and family are the most important thing for a woman, and she obeyed. However, after 3 years I couldn’t stand it and started looking for work. Based on an advertisement in the newspaper, she got a job at the Kiev Music Hall.
From 1985 to 1990, she worked there, first in a vocal group, then as a soloist. I searched for myself in different genres - jazz-rock, soul, worked with groups. The father of the future artist was a simple but talented man: he played the guitar well and sang. Six months after the birth of their daughter, the family moved to Bila Tserkva. When the girl was 11, her parents divorced. It was very difficult for Nina Konoplyanaya, the singer’s mother, to raise her daughter, but the woman did not complain. To provide for her family, she had to work as a warehouse manager, as an operator at a factory, and as an accountant.
Taisiya started singing in kindergarten, and at the age of 6 her mother sent her to music school. From the age of 14, the girl was the soloist of the city symphony orchestra.
